National Center of Teaching Research and "Love Course" website co-sponsored “Online Open Course Forum of Chinese Universities" on January 11, 2017 in Beijing. “2016 Annual Seminar on MOOC of Chinese Universities” was held simultaneously. Zhang Daliang, Chief of Higher Education Division, Ministry of Education, made an impressive speech at the forum, stressing that in 2017 the Ministry of Education would continue vigorously to foster the development of online open education, encouraging all educators to continue to be practitioners of education reform, based on educational development characteristics of the new era. Professor Shao Bingjia was awarded the title of “Excellent MOOC Teachers of Chinese Universities” and a trophy.

Chongqing University MOOC curriculum construction started at the end of 2015, led by the Office of Academic Affairs, respective college teaching teams participate in the work. E-commerce, taught by Professor Shao Bingjia from our school, is the first course of E-commerce nationally and it is listed by “MOOC of Chinese Universities” website as one of the key promotion courses, attracting more than 21,000 learners for the first time.

Based on work schedule, Chongqing University shall strengthen construction of MOOC curricula in 2017. Targeting at public basic courses, micro professional course clusters and general knowledge courses, the university shall not only construct more online quality courses, but also promote online courses both on and off campus, so as to play a leading role in regional online course construction.
